All of us has a love for books, though our tastes may vary from one another. That, however, doesn't stop us from talking about them with the customers and each other.

Tina,   part owner/manager, has worked here for 14 years.

She's been married for 21 years to a great guy, Ronnie. They have an 21 year-old daughter and a 16 year-old son. Her 9-year old nephew lives with them, too. Her household is rounded out by her two dogs, Buddy and Sierra, and a spoiled lizard named Hunter. They now have seven cats five of which used to be feral (wild). Their names are Cleo, Callie, Max, Zoe, Meanie, Smoosh and Belle.

She loves chocolate and reading, often both at the same time. Another love of hers is her rosebushes. She loves pruning and taking care of them, and of course cutting them to enjoy.

A few of her favorite authors are; Cheryl St.John, Nancy Herkness, Julie Garwood, Catherine Anderson, Suzanne Brockmann, Lori Foster, Carolyn Davidson, and Linda Lael Miller. She recently discovered that she loves Jim Butcher's books and cozy /chick lit mysteries.

She loves loves Country Music, especially Rascall Flatts and Keith Urban, and of course Eighties music.

Dorothy,   is a full-time employee and has worked here for 5 years.

She is married to Forest. They have a grown son and daughter and a grown granddaughter and a grade school age grandson. Dorothy has a cat, Muffin who is almost 15 and in good health. She and her husband enjoy camping several times a year in Southern Missouri with friends and family. In addition to the camaraderie and companionship, they enjoy trout fishing, swimming, and hiking.

Dorothy loves chocolate, reading and shopping for bargains. She enjoys her hobby of making bracelets, bookmarks, and an assortment of other beautiful crafts which, are for sale at the store. Frequently, she sets up a booth at local area craft shows with her sister, Shirley (who is a wonderful lady).

Dorothy's favorite author's are; William Sarabande, Jean Auel, Elizabeth Lowell, Elizabeth Peters, and Diane Mott Davidson. She enjoys a varied assortment of genres, and her list of favorites continues to grow.

Her favorite song is The Rose no matter who sings it. She also has some great memories of playing cards with friends to the songs of Dean Martin.

Connie   is a part-time employee and has worked here for just about 5 years. A lot of it behind the scenes so-to-speak.

She's been married 24 years to a wonderful man, Mikeal, and they have a 23 year-old daughter and a 20 year-old son.

Chocolate, Dove being her favorite, and reading are high on her list of favs. She nowhere near has the greenthumb that Tina does, but that doesn't stop her from trying.

Connie has a great interest in writing fiction though it most often takes a backseat to her website. OnceUponARomance.net is the "sister site" to the Dog Eared Books site.

Her reading tastes have expanded to include cozy/chick lit mysteries. Just a few of her favorite authors are; Julia Quinn, Laura Durham, Cheryl St. John, Elaine Viets, Maddy Hunter, Julianne MacLean, Alesia Holliday, Rebecca Paisley, Amanda Matetsky, and Gemma Halliday. The list of favs, as with everyone, is ever growing and changing.

Her favorite singer would have to be, hands down, Dean Martin , but she also really likes Michael Bublè, Swing and Big Band music, along with the crooners of the 50's.
